As a language teacher, I'm often asked by students ‘How can I practise my English’? or ‘Where can I practise my English'?
My advice to students is simple: as well as downloading some fantastic apps which will help you improve your language skills, you can practise when you meet people and grab the opportunity to practise your English in real-life situations will be fun and will definitely build your confidence.
There are a number of things you can do to meet people.... Joining one of the many fantastic clubs in Athlone will help you meet loads of new people, make friends, get to know more about Ireland and help you strenthen your English.
Athlone is a bustling town through which the River Shannon flows. As well as having many fine lakes and waterways on which to cruise, row, canoe, dive or snorkel, there are a number of world-class golf courses on which you can enjoy playing a game in beautiful surroundings.
